Welcome to Victoria Sharp Counselling
I am a counsellor working in Bedfordshire from my private practice in Harlington and also in Milton Keynes.
Life is full of experiences and events that can bring challenges, sadness and confusion to life.
It is often the case that you may not even know why you are feeling low, depressed or anxious. Counselling can help to find a way through these difficult times, exploring experiences, thoughts and feelings providing clarity and awareness to make some sense of the things that have happened or the difficulties you are facing that are preventing you from living life in the way that you would like.
I work with adults and children and young people and currently provide session in a local school. I have had the privilege of over 20 years of experience prior to training as a therapist working with young people in a supportive environment providing 1:1 and group support.
I provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space for clients to explore how they are feeling. I work with clients who are struggling with a variety of different issues including depression, anxiety, bereavement, parenting difficulties, stress, miscarriage, self-esteem issues, phobias, postnatal depression and various life changes.
I am an integrative humanistic counsellor which means that I can draw on various ways of working to support people. I also use Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and mindfulness techniques to support our work.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP) and adhere to the code of Ethics and Good Practice. I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
If you would like to see how I might be able to help you or your child you can email or call me to arrange an initial meeting with me. This will take place in my therapy room and will last for approximately 1 hour. It is a chance for you to tell me your story and for us to get a sense of each other and how we could work together. If you wish to proceed we would then discuss taking the next steps.
