Ever increasing pressure on children and young people in school, from peers and through the media, in particular social media has ensured that there has never been such an unprecedented  need to provide support and help for children and young people. 

Counselling can be effective in alleviating and preventing the escalation of mental health issues, providing children with the emotional intelligence and resilience to cope in difficult times. There is significant evidence that accessing counselling for children and young people can also support their concentration, motivation, learning and achievement. 

As a counsellor I am committed to promoting, protecting and improving children and young peoples mental health. 

I work with young people who are experiencing emotional issues, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement and many other distressing issues including young people who self-harm.

I also work with young people around particular times of stress such as the lead up to exam season which can be complicatedly stressful and full of and anxiety, I help to build resilience and equip themselves with tools to draw on for not only during their exams and schooling but also for the rest of their lives.
